CURRICULUM

Each Day the children experience circle time in which they sing songs, exercise, participate in calendar time, learn about West Virginia history, participate in hands on activities, outdoor and indoor playtime, and we begin to prepare them for kindergarten or "big school".

Children learn best through exploration and discovery - what we call play. Research shows how children construct knowledge through the way they interact with their environment.  By asking meaningful questions and joining in their play, we can deepen their learning and build closer relationships. Play based learning is endorsed by the NAEYC and the WV Dept. of Education.

MEALS

The center is part of the national CACFP program.  All children receive breakfast, lunch and  snack at no additional cost to the family.  All meals are prepared fresh and are based on the USDA recommendations.
